After the destruction of his hometown, Heartland, and the kidnapping of his sister Ruri, Shun traveled to the Standard Dimension in order to take Akaba Reiji hostage and exchange him for Ruri. However Reiji convinced him to join his Lancers to combat Academia. Though Academia is defeated after some effort, both Ruri and Yuto, Shun's best friend, were absorbed into different people. Just after Sakaki Yuya's victory over Reiji and Akaba Leo's declaration of the reunion of all four dimensions, Shun is drawn into an entirely different world… and left to figure out just what to do next all on his own.
