[Yuto doesn't know what to reply at first. It's not like he wants to die, of course not. But he doesn't want to kill either. He grits his teeth and closes his eyes.

He doesn't know how much time has passed when he finally types a reply.]

[It's a silly one. He knows, Yuto just knows that Shun will return alive. He always does. But no better reply came to his mind. After all, he can't even promise Shun anything.]

[Shun stares at the reply when it finally arrives, then shuts down his device. It's a good thing that Yuto probably won't read too much into his silence, into his refusal to make promises.

His eyes linger on the name on his wrist for a moment, his other hand clenching until sharp nails cut into the skin of his palm. He doesn't know what to do, how to get out of this one… He doesn't have many qualms left, and in near any situation he'd go for the kill without a second thought in order to preserve his own life.

This though, killing a human child… even for him… this may not be a line he can, wants to cross.

He remembers bitterly, the first time he had heard those words fall from his best friend's lips, wonders if the despair he had felt then and since compares to his current turmoil. He can't ask, not without giving himself away.

Yuto doesn't need to know, not yet. If he doesn't know, he'll watch himself more and hopefully come home alive. Even if Shun might not.]
